The Knit the Bridge installation is up after a successful installation weekend. We had tremendous turnout from our fabulous volunteers and completed the last railing around 9:40pm on Sunday August 11th.

Over the next weeks volunteers will be maintaining and monitoring the installation 3 times a day. If you walk the bridge regularly and want to help keep it in tip top condition please email us or sign up to help with monitoring on the right-hand sidebar. If you see damage or part of the artwork in need of repair please notify us at our KtB hotline 412 208 4324.

Really nice bridge tower, one of the best i’ve seen
Great thing. Biggest yarn bombing project I have seen. Please, identify the bridge by the name it would have been know by back in the 60’s -70’s. I moved from Pgh back then and am trying to be sure which bridge this is. Back then I lived in Shaler Twp and crossed the Allegheny regularly on the 6th, 7th, and 9th street birdges. It looks to me like it is either the 7th or 9th street bridge, and I am curious to be sure.
