And you can thank PF/PCA tonight at the grand opening of Fiberart International 2013! We are so excited for this event. The Fiberarts Guild and FI2013 co-directors Desha Jaramaz and Jay van Wagenen have been working tirelessly on getting things ready. The opening is free and open to the public from 5:30-8pm at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and at the Society for Contemporary Craft. Here’s a sneak peak:
Fiberart International 2013 opens with a weekend of events including a gala reception Friday evening, April 19 where awards totaling more than $5,000 will be presented. International Fiberart Forum, a daylong conference that features a keynote speech by juror Joyce J. Scott and dialogues with 36 of the exhibiting artists, takes place April 20 at the Phipps Garden Center.
