Today we want to highlight one of the perks from our Indiegogo campaign (ending soon!), “Bridges of Pittsburgh” by Bob Regan, with photos by Tim Fabian. This paperbound book includes photos from the many bridges in our city, including the Warhol that we will be yarn bombing! Pittsburgh has many nicknames, and with 446 bridges it’s no surprise that “City of Bridges” is one of them. With this many, you can imagine the architectural and engineering differences, and this book makes them clear through vintage and modern photographs and descriptions. Another interesting aspect of the book is that it contains ten self-guided tours for walkers, cyclists, drivers, and boaters.
This is a great book for any architect fan, history lover, or Pittsburgher (even if you are one that doesn’t like crossing bridges). It also makes a great gift! You can earn this perk with a $50 donation to the Indiegogo campaign. While you are there, check out the other perks available as well! Less than 40 hours left to donate!
