Today we’re going to party like it’s 2013 and we created the largest yarnbomb on a bridge, ever!
Please join us today, Sunday, August 25th from 3-7 pm on the Andy Warhol/7th Street Bridge for a ginormous Art Party to celebrate this amazing accomplishment and to acknowledge the hard work of Knit the Bridge’s many participants, supporters, and sponsors.
This fabulous work of art only happened because of our many diverse communities and a shared spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm for creating something beautiful. Whether you participated in its creation or have just enjoyed the public artwork, please come out to show your appreciation.
This celebratory event has been given special support by Allegheny County, the Alcoa Foundation, and the Cultural Trust and, like the project itself, is a project of the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.
And a huge thank you to the grassroots effort that made this project, one stitch at a time!
Thank you to everyone who was a part off this. It was so much fun. Worth the ride from Texas.
I’m hoping to see pictures?
